What's New in PPM 10.0.4

The following new features and enhancements are introduced in PPM 10.0.4.

Portfolio Management enhancements

The following enhancements were added to the Portfolio Management module.

Revamped Strategy tab

The following two subtabs were added to the Strategy tab:

Strategic Themes & Business Goals. Lists all the strategic themes and business goals included in a portfolio. Business goals are grouped by the strategic themes with which the business goals are aligned.
Strategy Map. Shows a portfolio's strategic alignment with global strategic themes, its parent portfolio, and subportfolios.

Strategic alignment information available in strategic theme and business goal details

You can now view strategic alignment information from strategic theme and business goal details pages:

Open a strategic theme, and you can view business goals and initiatives that are aligned with the strategic theme.
Open a business goal, and you can view the initiatives with impact values on the KPI related to the business goal.

Platform enhancements

The following enhancements were added to the platform module.

Support custom validations for more OOTB fields

You can now use custom validations for more OOTB fields.

Apply Bouncy Castle cryptographic libraries for FIPS compliance

PPM now applies the Bouncy Castle cryptographic libraries, instead of the RSA cryptographic libraries, for FIPS 140-2 compliance.

Mobility Access supports OAuth authentication for Microsoft Exchange Online

PPM Mobility Access, which enables you to process requests from email, now also supports OAuth authentication for Microsoft Exchange Online.

Demand Management enhancements

The following enhancements were added to the Demand Management module.

New filters in request search page

The following filters were added in the request search page:

Request Description Contains. Searches requests by keywords contained in request descriptions.
Request Note Contains. Searches requests by keywords contained in request notes.

Canceling a request also cancels the associated staffing profile

When you cancel a request, its associated staffing profile is also cancelled.

PPM-ServiceNow integration

You can now integrate PPM requests with ServiceNow entities.

Time Management enhancements

The following enhancements were added to the Time Management module.

Notify time approvers of reworked time sheet lines

You can now configure PPM to send notifications to a time approver when a time sheet line approved by the approver is reworked.

Display time sheet/time sheet line notes in Approve Time page

The Approve Time page now displays the notes entered for time sheets and time sheet lines.

Financial Management enhancements

The following enhancements were added to the Financial Management module.

New cost factor: Cost Category

You can now use the Cost Category cost factor to calculate the actual cost for work plan tasks and forecast cost for staffing profile positions.

Currency updates

PPM implemented the following updates to currencies:

Added more currencies, such as South Sudanese pound and Surinamese dollar.
Updated some existing currencies to conform to the ISO 4217 standard.

Administration enhancement

You can now disable multiple users at a time.

Report enhancement

When a user is disabled, the reports scheduled by that user can now be skipped and cancelled automatically.

This feature is enabled when the SKIP_SCHEDULED_REPORT_WHEN_SUBMITTER_DISABLED and DELETE_SCHEDULED_REPORT_WHEN_SUBMITTOR_DISABLED_FOR_DAYS parameters are set to true.

Portlet enhancement

A new option, Projects Managed by Myself, was added to the preference page of the Project Gantt and Project Timelines portlets. It enables you to show only the projects managed by the current logged in user in these portlets on a shared dashboard page.
